13 dwelling house reduced to ashes in a devastating firing incident at Maibang in Dima Hasao

Haflong 3rd February: Atleast 13 dwelling house were gutted to ashes in a fire incident at Subash Nagar under Maibang police station in Dima Hasao on Tuesday morning.

As per the locals, the fire suddenly erupted at around 6.30 in the morning from burning of litters from nearby that soon spreaded in the vicinity.

Thought fire tender reach the spot in time, due to rapid spread of the fire and blast of several LPG cylinders, not any single belongings of the families could be saved.

Fortunately, no human casualty were reported, however several individuals sustained burnt injuries while trying to douse the fire.

Meanwhile, a officials from the district administration have took stock of the situation and doing the needful, while personnels of 26 Assam Rifles in co-ordination with local NGO HELP society have distributed essential relief materials to the families including milk, rations, blanket etc..
