Dima Hasao district day celebration in Haflong

Haflong February 2nd: Marking the 56th creation of Dima Hasao district, erstwhile North Cachar Hills district, the Dima Hasao District Day was celebrated at NC Hill Autonomous Council’s premises with great pride and enthusiasm at Haflong.

The celebration organized by Dima Hasao district administration started with a mass rally taking through the streets of Haflong and converged at NCHAC premised.NCHAC CEM Debolal Gorlosa was chief guest of the program along with chairman Mohet Hojai among other dignitaries.

The celebration showcased the district’s rich cultural heritage, vibrant traditions, and the unity that binds diverse communities together.

CEM Gorlosa in his speech briefed on creation of the district in 1970 2nd February and recalls contribution of leaders who have fought for creation of seperate district and calls for peace and development in the district.
