Congress Office Turns into BJP Office in West Karbi Anglong

Kheroni, April 3: In a notable political development ahead of the upcoming elections, a Congress election office at the booth level in West Karbi Anglong has been converted into a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office.
The incident took place at Dayangmukh under the 177 No. Booth Committee in Radha Nagar, within the Rongkhang Legislative Assembly Constituency. At a time when the election atmosphere is intensifying across the region, the sudden transformation of a Congress office into a BJP office has drawn attention locally.
According to reports, several Congress workers including Manoj Biswas, Ranjan Moy Biswas, and Narendra Biswas held a meeting with Sujit Sarangsha, Treasurer of the BJP West Karbi Anglong District Committee. Following the discussion, the Congress members formally resigned from the party and joined the BJP.
Subsequently, the office that previously functioned as a Congress election office was also converted into a BJP office, symbolizing the shift in political allegiance at the grassroots level.
The development reflects the changing political dynamics in the area as parties intensify their efforts to strengthen their base ahead of the elections.
