Haflong, April 7: District Election Officer Gayatri Devidas Hyalinge on Tuesday flagged off the movement of polling personnel to remote and far-flung polling stations ahead of the upcoming elections.
A total of 23 polling teams, accompanied by police personnel, began their journey to various locations, with most teams headed towards the challenging terrains of Jinam Valley. The area is known for its difficult accessibility, requiring long travel hours to reach the designated polling stations.
The dispatch of polling teams marks a crucial step in ensuring smooth and timely conduct of the electoral process in the district. Adequate security arrangements have been put in place to safeguard the polling personnel and election materials during transit.
