Deluxe cabin at Haflong Civil Hospital started to function with nominal fee, cutting economic burden of common people.

Hills Live News desk, Haflong July 1: Giving a major upliftment in health sector of Dima Hasao district, the newly constructed deluxe cabin at Haflong Civil Hospital have been started from Wesnesday, NC Hills Autonomous Council, Executive Member for Health and Family Welfare, Probita Johari announced the functioning of the deluxe cabin on ocassion of celebration of National Doctor’s Day at Haflong.

The cabins inaugurated on February last was constructed under CEM’s pilot scheme and will function under the direct administration of NC Hills Autonomous Council with seperate staffs appointed by the council. It have 10 deluxe cabins with seperate room and a kitchen and bathroom attach. The revenue earn through the cabins will directly goes to the council fund.

Equipped with air conditioning machine and other machinaries, a nominal fee will be charged lowering economics burden compared to private hospital.

EM Probita Johari, said that the cabin is an initiative of CEM Debolal Gorlosa and have been constructed under CEM’s pilot scheme of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council.

She also said that this will facilates families from under-priviled and far- flung areas to cares for their dear one with a minimal ammount.

She expressed her hope that more facilities to be added for convenience of people of the district.
