Rich in flora and fauna, Pobitora attracted 35,262 tourists during the last tourism season, including 676 foreign visitors. The sanctuary generated revenue of approximately Rs 81.58 lakh during the period.

With the new tourism season set to begin, the Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary authorities are expecting a higher turnout of both domestic and international tourists.

The reopening is expected to provide a fresh boost to wildlife tourism and benefit local communities dependent on tourism-related activities in and around the sanctuary.
