A massive public rally was held on Monday at Jagiroad in support of BJP candidate Piyush Hazarika from the 52 No. Jagiroad Assembly constituency, along with candidates of the alliance. The rally was addressed by BJP National President Nitin Nabin near the Deosal Charivai Shiva Temple. Around twenty thousand people reportedly attended the Sankalp Yatra rally, warmly welcoming the young leader.
During his speech, Nitin Nabin highlighted various developmental initiatives undertaken by the Narendra Modi government for the Northeast region. He also criticized previous governments, stating that when soldiers guarding the borders were martyred, the government in Delhi remained silent. In contrast, he said the present government under Narendra Modi responds strongly to any threat against the nation.
Referring to Tata Semiconductor, he made a significant remark: “From now on, it will not just be ‘Made in India,’ but ‘Made in Assam.’ The world will use products made in Assam.”
BJP candidate Piyush Hazarika, in his welcome speech, appealed to the people to bless the BJP-led alliance once again for the overall development of Assam. State BJP President Dilip Saikia also addressed the gathering, urging party workers at every booth to work harder over the next ten days to ensure victory for all BJP and alliance candidates.
Candidates from constituencies such as Morigaon, Dhing, Laharighat, Raha, and Dimoria were also present at the rally.
