Congress candidate files nomination from Rongkhang amid massive rally in West Karbi Anglong

A massive rally was taken out from Kheroni Forest Bazaar in West Karbi Anglong as Congress candidate Augustine Ingti filed his nomination for the 111 Rongkhang Assembly constituency.
The candidate was first accorded a warm reception at Kheroni Forest Bazaar by leaders and workers of the alliance partner APHLC along with several thousand Congress supporters. A huge procession was later taken out from the market area, with thousands of people joining the rally in a show of strength before proceeding to the district headquarters.
Ingti submitted his nomination papers at the office of the District Commissioner in Hamren amid enthusiastic supporters.
Meanwhile, the Congress alliance partner APHLC also filed nomination from the seat. Bikram Hanche of APHC submitted his nomination from the 112 Amri Assembly constituency and expressed confidence of winning the seat.
On the other hand, Pratima Ingti also filed her nomination papers from the 111 Rongkhang Assembly constituency as CPI-ML.
