Nagaon Lok Sabha Bye-Election Preparedness Reviewed in Morigaon

Hills Live News, Morigaon, August 31: Morigaon District Commissioner Srishti Singh on Monday chaired a review meeting on the preparedness for the forthcoming Nagaon Lok Sabha bye-election and experience-sharing from previous elections at the DC Office Conference Hall here.

During the meeting, the District Commissioner directed officials of all concerned departments to ensure close coordination and complete all election-related arrangements well ahead of schedule. Circle Officers were asked to review preparations at the grassroots level and submit reports on logistics, deployment of personnel and other requirements related to the poll.

Co-District Commissioner, Jagiroad, Hridoy Kumar Das, shared issues encountered during the recently concluded Assembly elections and stressed the need to take corrective measures to prevent similar lapses during the forthcoming bye-election.

District Development Commissioner Orpah Baglari, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Satyajit Chetia, Additional District Commissioner Rakesh Deka, Election Officer, Assistant Commissioners, Circle Officers and other officials concerned attended the meeting.
