The total number of beneficiaries from the district, however, is more than 400, including graduates who completed their studies at colleges outside Dima Hasao. The assistance will be distributed through the respective colleges by Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
The scheme was launched in November 2025 and began to be rolled out in February 2026. However, the disbursement of funds was subsequently halted due to the Assembly election.
