CM Reviews Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment Projects.Departments asked to remove bottlenecks and fast-track committed investments

Hills Live News,Guwahati .September 8: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday reviewed the progress and implementation status of investment proposals committed during Advantage Assam 2.0, and directed concerned departments to take coordinated steps to expedite the projects.
Chairing a meeting at Lok Sewa Bhawan, Sarma reviewed investments across key sectors, including cement, power and renewable energy. He held discussions with representatives of leading companies to assess the progress of their projects and identify challenges and bottlenecks affecting their timely execution.
Projects and issues relating to Ambuja Cements, Star Cement, Dalmia Cement, Adani Power, SJVN Green Energy Limited, Hinduja Group, Greenko Energies Pvt. Ltd., NEEPCO and NLC India Renewables, among others, were reviewed during the meeting.
Taking note of the issues raised by the companies, the Chief Minister directed the concerned departments to take prompt and coordinated remedial measures to remove bottlenecks and facilitate speedy implementation of the committed investments.
Sarma stressed the need for continuous engagement between the government and investors so that legitimate issues affecting project execution are addressed within a stipulated timeframe. He also called for a coordinated approach to fast-track the investment proposals.
The Chief Minister directed the PWD (Roads) to ensure construction and improvement of quality road connectivity to project sites wherever necessary, saying inadequate infrastructure should not hamper industrial and investment projects.
Sarma reiterated that the government’s priority was to ensure that investment commitments made under Advantage Assam 2.0 translate into actual projects on the ground. He said timely implementation would generate employment, stimulate economic activity and create sustained opportunities for the people of Assam.
He added that successful execution of the projects would contribute significantly to accelerating industrialisation and strengthening Assam’s socio-economic development.
Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprises Minister Bimal Bora, Chief Secretary Dr. Ravi Kota, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. K.K. Dwivedi and senior officials of the concerned departments attended the meeting.
