If Kisan Morcha workers are campaigning door-to-door among farmers, Sports Cell BJP workers are reaching out to sportspersons at their homes.

While the Chief Minister is conducting an extensive campaign for the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election, workers of various BJP Morchas and Cells are also carrying out door-to-door campaigning across the constituency. In short, no party worker, from the top to the grassroots level, is sitting idle. This was stated by Dilip Kumar Sharma, panelist of the Assam Pradesh BJP and media in-charge and coordinator for the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election.
In a statement issued to the media today, Sharma said that in view of the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election scheduled to be held on October 6, all party workers, from state-level office-bearers to district, mandal and booth-level workers, have been actively engaged in campaigning across every corner of the parliamentary constituency.
BJP media panelist Sharma said that Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today addressed three large election rallies at Rupohihat, Samaguri and Laharighat in support of BJP candidate Debashish Sharma. The rallies, held mainly in minority-dominated areas, witnessed spontaneous and encouraging participation from the general electorate, he said.
Meanwhile, NDA candidate Debashish Sharma participated in election meetings at around 15 locations in the Morigaon constituency and interacted with voters in the presence of Morigaon MLA Ramakanta Deuri.
At the same time, Kisan Morcha workers were seen conducting door-to-door campaigns among farmers in both Nagaon and Morigaon districts. Similarly, members of the party’s Sports Cell collected lists of local sportspersons, sports organisers and others associated with sports and visited their homes to interact with them.
Assam Cabinet Minister Ajanta Neog and Chief Executive Member of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Tuliram Ronghang also campaigned in the Jagiroad constituency today.
Meanwhile, members of the Nagaon district BJP Yuva Morcha visited several gyms in the Nagaon-Batadrava constituency over the past two days and campaigned among young people involved in physical fitness in support of Debashish Sharma.
Workers of the party’s OBC Morcha also held several courtyard meetings today in Nagaon Sadar Mandal, Haibargaon, Bhotaipathari, Batadrava, Kamargaon, Dhing and Dumdumia mandals. They also visited voters door-to-door and campaigned in support of Debashish Sharma.
