AICC Leader Anil Yadav Accuses BJP and Election Commission of “Vote Theft”

Hills Live News,HAFLONG, Oct 27 — All India Congress Committee (AICC) leader Anil Yadav accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Election Commission of India of “vote theft” during a press conference at Rajiv Bhawan on Tuesday, questioning the transparency of the electoral process.
Addressing reporters, Yadav emphasized that democracy guarantees equal voting power to all citizens regardless of economic background, but alleged that this right is currently under threat.
”The value of a vote cast by a wealthy citizen is identical to that of an economically disadvantaged citizen,” Yadav said, arguing that economic disparity should not translate into electoral inequality.
The Congress leader stated that voting rights extend beyond casting a ballot to ensuring that public mandates are accurately reflected without fear or manipulation. He warned that growing concerns over electoral fairness risk weakening public confidence in the country’s democratic institutions.
