Absconding accused directed to appear before POCSO Court

Diphu April 27: As per the order of the District and Sessions Judge, POCSO Court, Karbi Anglong, a proclamation requiring the appearance of accused person Raju Tisso has been issued in connection with POCSO Case No. SC T1/60/2015 (State of Assam Vs Minarson Tisso), corresponding to Diphu P.S. Case No. 106/2014.
According to the court order dated March 23, 2026, the accused Raju Tisso, son of Late Pauiram Tisso, resident of Dabit Tisso Gaon under Taralangso Police Station, Diphu, Karbi Anglong, is alleged to have committed offences punishable under Sections 120B, 121A and 123 of the Indian Penal Code.
The court observed that despite issuance of a warrant of arrest, the accused could not be traced and it was established to the satisfaction of the Court that he had absconded or was concealing himself to avoid execution of the warrant.
Accordingly, a public statement has been issued directing the accused to appear before the District and Sessions Judge, POCSO Court, Diphu, to answer the complaint.
The accused has been instructed to appear before the Court on April 30, 2026. The proclamation has been published through the Officer-in-Charge, Diphu Police Station, Karbi Anglong, Assam, for necessary compliance.
The district administration and police authorities have requested the concerned individual to comply with the Court’s direction within the stipulated time.
