Assam Governor attends the Annual Conference of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Assam Prant.

Guwahati, April 25: The Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya attended the Annual
Conference of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Assam Prant, which was held at Lohia Lions Gauhati
Auditorium here today.
The Governor in his speech lauded Bharat Vikas Parishad for its noteworthy contribution
to nation-building through the principles of contact, cooperation, values, service, and dedication.
He appreciated the organization’s sustained efforts over the years in fostering social harmony
and advancing developmental initiatives across society.
Emphasizing the vision of a developed and culturally enriched India, the Governor
highlighted the importance of drawing inspiration from the country’s glorious past, when India
was a global leader in knowledge, science, philosophy, and culture. He stressed the need to
maintain a fine balance between tradition and modernity while remaining firmly rooted in the
nation’s core values.
He underscored the growing significance of science, technology, and digital innovation in
shaping the future, noting their transformative impact across key sectors such as education,
healthcare, agriculture, governance, and commerce. Referring to national initiatives like Digital
India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Viksit Bharat, the Governor underlined that their success
depends not only on government efforts but also on active public participation.
Highlighting the importance of social service as a shared responsibility, the Governor
stated that voluntary organizations play a pivotal role in building an inclusive and progressive
society.
The Governor also emphasized the crucial role of youth as a driving force for the nation’s
progress and called for encouraging them towards skill development, innovation,
entrepreneurship, and digital empowerment, while nurturing strong moral values and a spirit of
patriotism.
On this occasion the Governor unveiled the souvenir. The Conference was also graced by
Dr K M Bujarbaruah, former VC, Assam Agricultural University,Prof.M Premjit Singh,former
VC,Central Agricultural University, Imphaland Prof.Debabrata Das,Former VC(Detail) and
Advisor(Higher Education),Assam and Dr KK Baruah, Prantiya President, Bharat Vikas
