Discrepancies in Assam University FYUGP Odd Semester Results Spark Student Outcry
Hills Live News Desk
Haflong, June 3: Large-scale anomalies in the recently declared FYUGP Odd Semester examination results have left students of Assam University in a state of confusion and frustration.
The results, published on May 30, 2026—nearly six months after the November 2025 examinations—were released while students were appearing for another set of exams. Student bodies allege that the delayed declaration has been marred by serious discrepancies affecting candidates across multiple semesters.
Among the reported irregularities are inflated marks, missing scores, and contradictory grade entries. One student pointed out that their result sheet showed a total of 2200 marks instead of the correct 1200. In other cases, grades were awarded without corresponding marks, while some deserving students were shockingly shown as having scored “00” in subjects where they had no prior backlog.
The anomalies have triggered widespread concern among the student community, who fear that such errors could jeopardize academic progress and future opportunities.
In response, Assam University has issued a communication urging affected students to submit applications for rechecking or revaluation of their answer scripts.
Student organizations, however, are pressing for a more transparent and accountable process, arguing that the scale of discrepancies points to systemic lapses in result preparation.
